The Shrewsbury Folk Festival returns this August Bank Holiday weekend from Friday 28th to Monday 31st August 2026 at the usual riverside venue of the West Midlands Showground in Shrewsbury.
Describing itself as “where world-class music meets laid-back riverside vibes” the Shrewsbury Folk Festival brings together a brilliant mix of folk, world music and Americana along with one of the friendliest atmospheres you’ll find anywhere on the festival circuit.
Festival facilities include:
- four open-air and covered music stages
- a lively dance tent for ceilidhs, bals, shows and displays
- workshops like yoga and crafting and informal music sessions, instrument tuition and singarounds
- dedicated festivals-in-a-festival where kids can dive into music, dance, crafts, and circus skills
- the food village
- artisan shopping arena
- on-site camping and glamping
