Here at Folly View we want you to get the best from your stay at our self-catering holiday let. The area around Folly View Let is ideal for walking and includes the beautiful hills and dales of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
To help you get the most from walking and other activities in the area we have provided some Ordnance Survey (OS) maps that you can borrow during your stay with us as well as a range of leaflets describing walks and other activities.
You can follow the links below to more details on these maps:
The OS Landranger maps have a scale of 1:50,000 and whilst they are “general purpose” maps they do show all footpaths. They are also available in a plastic-laminated waterproof “Active” range.
The OS Explorer maps have a scale of 1:25,000 and are specifically designed for walkers and cyclists and they feature all types of footpaths and most details of the countryside for easy navigation. The OS Explorer maps are also available in a plastic-laminated waterproof “Active” range.
If you want to purchase your own OS Maps then you can buy them from the online Ordnance Survey shop. Nowadays OS Maps also feature mobile downloads and you can find more information about this on the OS site here. Or if you wanted to “shop local” the gift shop at the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre also sells these maps.
