Folly View is located on the edge of the South Shropshire Hills and is a fantastic area for those who enjoy walking and cycling.
There are many beautiful cycling routes in the area to suit all cycling capabilities whether you are looking for a gentle countryside exploration or demanding off-road cycle tracks through local woods.
One local section of Route 44 is advertised as the Six Castles Cycleway. The six castles on or near the route are (in geographical order from north to south): Shrewsbury Castle, Bishop’s Castle, Stokesay Castle, Ludlow Castle, Richard’s Castle and Croft Castle.

Just 7 miles and less than 15 minutes drive from Folly View you’ll find Hopton Wood which is the home of mountain biking in Shropshire. As well as challenging competition routes there are novice and family trails. You can find more information about cycling in Hopton Woods here.
Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd offer some fabulous mountain biking trails – including Minton Batch named by Mountain Bike Rider Magazine as the Best Trail of 2011.
