Shropshire Day

Shropshire Day 2024 is the first one of the year.

The 23rd of February was selected as it is also the Feast Day of St Milburga and the day on which she died.

There is a lot to celebrate on Shropshire Day.

There beautiful rivers, some of which rise in the Shropshire Hills and some that wind their way through Shropshire to eventually find their way to the sea.

There are the The Clee Hills to explore and the Stiperstones, both with their industrial heritage of mining and quarrying.

We have interesting towns, large and small, to explore, where there are exciting events to go to and see and much more besides.

We are part of the industrial revolution and have the Unesco World Heritage Site at Ironbridge Gorge.

We love Shropshire because there is so much variety to welcome visitors.
